Amanda’s story with Swace began with a summer job during her fourth year of studying Engineering Physics at Uppsala University. What was supposed to be a summer and part-time gig quickly turned into something bigger. After graduating, Amanda joined full-time and hasn’t looked back since.

Over the years she has worked across both frontend and backend, diving into a wide range of projects and picking up new challenges along the way. “Swace has always been a place where I can be myself,” she says. “There’s a strong sense of unity here, which makes even the busiest times easier.”

At one point, Amanda took a detour to Berlin. The plan was to stay longer, learn German, and support her husband in his move. She even had the option to keep working remotely. But something was missing.

“I realized I missed the camaraderie at Swace,” she explains. “The close-knit team, the lack of pretense, it’s unique. That’s why I decided to come back earlier than planned.”

Asked what she would say to someone considering a career at Swace, Amanda doesn’t hesitate: “Come visit us and see for yourself. Many companies talk about being relaxed and unpretentious, but here you really feel it. Our low staff turnover speaks for itself.”
